Capital One Tennis Open

Get ready for an event-filled April! Aside from the 19 different festivals going on this month, there are also three major sporting events and a variety of events and activities catering to all interests, not to mention the seasonal farmers markets are back! Some of the bigger events on our list include: 50th Flowertown Festival (1st-2nd), Lowcountry Strawberry Festival (1st-8th*), 76th Annual Festival of Houses & Gardens (1st-16th), Founders Day Festival (8th), 3rd Annual Spring Roll Challenge & Food Truck Festival (8th), Gospel Fest 2023 (9th), Sundown Festival (12th), High Water Festival (15th-16th), 17th Annual Blues by the Sea (16th), 8th Charleston Jazz Festival (20th-23rd), World Grits Festival (21st-23rd), Lowcountry Cajun Festival (22nd), Black Food Truck Festival (22nd-23rd), Charleston Cocktail Week (24th-30th), 48th Colleton County Rice Festival (28th-29th), and Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival (30th). 

The three major sporting events happening are the 46th Cooper River Bridge Run (1st), Credit One Charleston Open tennis tournament (1st-9th) and the 26th Charleston Race Week (20th-23rd, sailing). Notable holidays this month include April Fool’s Day (1st), Palm Sunday (2nd), Good Friday (7th), Passover (5th-13th), Easter Sunday (9th), and Earth Day (22nd). Don’t forget that the tax filing deadline is Tuesday, April 18th this year. We’ve listed many local weekly and individual events below and provided links so you can find out more.
