Alan is a REALTOR® and Broker Associate with Keller Williams Realty in Charleston-Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Initially trained as a Mechanical Engineer, Alan earned a Fulbright Scholarship and completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of California at Berkeley, where he specialized in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
He brings extensive and diverse international experience: 22 years of real estate sales (residential, commercial and industrial), 8 years of international marketing consulting and 5 years of higher education; in Australia, Canada, Colombia and the U.S.
Alan has built a successful business based on strong client relationships, as approximately 70% of his business comes from referrals from past clients and people who know him. Since 2014, Alan has ranked in the top 5% of the Charleston MLS. In 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018 he earned the "Realtor of Distinction" Award, the highest performance level awarded by the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors.
Alan has established a strong presence and brand recognition with the local business community in Mount Pleasant, as well as the Hispanic community in Charleston (he is bilingual in Spanish), and has successfully helped many out-of-town clients who came to retire in Charleston, Mt. Pleasant or Daniel Island, SC. In 2014 Alan received the e-Pro designation in 2009, his Seniors' Real Estate Specialist Designation (SRES) and his CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) in 2015 and his Certified Probate Expert (CPE) designation in 2019.
Alan's team has ample (and successful) experience working with first-time home buyers, new construction buyers, 55+ communities, investors, probate executors, move-up/downsizing clients, military transfers, investors, luxury buyers/sellers and out-of-town retirees.
Alan has been a volunteer at The Citadel School of Business Mentors' Association, the Global Fluency Initiative sponsored by the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Charleston Regional Development Alliance, the former Latin American Business Council of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors and the Keller Williams Realty Associate Leadership Council.
He is active in the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce, the Global Fluency Initiative, the Citadel School of Business Mentors Association and The Charleston Women In International Trade (CWIT).
In his spare time, Alan is an active tennis and pickleball player, and enjoys camping, hiking, fishing and the outdoors.

Cynthia holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the College of Charleston and brings 2 years' experience in residential and commercial real estate and 6 years' experience in event management and hospitality. She's a detailed and effective communicator who focuses on client experience.
Heidi Schless, Operations Manager
Heidi holds a Master's Degree in City and Urban Planning from U.C. Berkeley and more than 25 years' experience in international management consulting in the area of tourism development for large and small companies like KPMG Peat Marwick.
She brings a wealth of knowledge in project management, systems, processes and organization to the team.
Meghan Bowes, Realtor, Closing Coordinator
Meghan has a BA in Business Administration from the College of Charleston and 5 years' experience in residential sales. As a Realtor and former Executive Assistant for The Alan Donald Team, she understands the processes from the client's perspective, from the Realtor's perspective and fro the back office. She's very detail-oriented and proactive, communicates well with agents, attorneys, lenders, tradespeople and clients to make sure all processes are done well and on time.
