Alan was originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer and obtained his MBA from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. 

Since 2004, he and his team have established a strong presence and a solid reputation in the residential real estate market in Charleston, SC, where they have successfully helped more than 440 families with their real estate needs.  

Alan is a strong advocate of continuing education. He received his e-Pro designation in 2009, the Seniors' Real Estate Specialist Designation (SRES) and the CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designation in 2015, the Certified Probate Expert (CPE) designation in 2019 and the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Designation in 2022. Alan is fluent in both Spanish and English.

With over $140 million in accumulated sales, the Alan Donald Team has ample (and successful) experience working with out-of-town and local clients, military PCS transfers, first-time buyers, investors, probate executors, move-up buyers and 55+/retirees. We service the whole metropolitan area, including Charleston, Mount Pleasant, West Ashley, Summerville, Hanahan, Goose Creek, Ladson, North Charleston, Awendaw, Daniel Island and the barrier islands. 

The vast majority of our business comes from past clients and referrals, so our focus and passion is on delivering “legendary service” to all our clients, while promoting local businesses and supporting community initiatives. 

Alan has been a volunteer at The Citadel School of Business Mentors' Association, the Global Fluency Initiative and the Latin American Business Council of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, Charleston Women in International Trade (CWIT), Charleston Trident Association of Realtors (CTAR) and the Keller Williams Realty Associate Leadership Council (ALC). He also taught Real Estate Market Analysis as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Charleston. 

He is an active member of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce.

In his spare time, Alan and his wife Heidi are active tennis and pickleball players, and enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, fishing, cooking and the outdoors.

Cynthia holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the College of Charleston and brings 6 years' experience in residential and commercial real estate and 6 years' experience in event management and hospitality.

She's a detailed and effective communicator with outstanding market knowledge and negotiating skills, who focuses on client experience.

As an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), she can service all types of buyers, from first-time home buyers to investors, military transferees and retirees who are "right-sizing" for their golden years and investors.

Cynthia is well versed in all the 55+ Active Adult communities in the Charleston, SC Area. She is also qualified as a Realtor knowledgeable in Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECM) for purchases and holds Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designations provided by the National Association of Realtors.
