JANUARY 2023 EVENTS

Happy 2023

It’s January… the start of 2023! It’s a quieter month, with fewer major holidays, events and festivals than the flurry we experienced in November and December. Nonetheless, in January we celebrate New Year’s Day (1st), National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (9th), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (celebrated on the 18th), the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Rabbit (22nd - February 5th), plus some other holidays listed here. We have polar bear plunges on the 1st, oyster roasts and food festivals throughout the month - such as Charleston Restaurant Week (12th-22nd), Taste of Folly (13th-14th) and the Lowcountry Oyster Festival (29th) - plus the Charleston Boat Show (27th-29th). We’ve listed below (with direct links) many weekly and individual events that are taking place across the Lowcountry this month to encourage you to get out there and enjoy yourselves!
