The Fastest-Growing Companies in Charleston

Charleston continues to show it's strong entrepreneurial spirit! The 2020 Inc. 5,000 list includes 29 companies from the Charleston metro area that are amongst the fastest-growing private companies in the nation. They represent a wide variety of industry sectors including construction, IT management, and more. A fascinating aspect about the businesses listed is that most of them specialize in helping other businesses grow. For example, Q4Launch, describes their services as "high-quality digital marketing, web design, and content creation to take hospitality businesses to higher levels". No. 2 on Charleston's list is MedTrust, a private ambulance service headed by Josh Watts, a former Keller Williams Realty colleague!

CSU Introduces State’s 1st Collegiate Aeronautics Program

According to a Boeing Co. market outlook, there could be a shortage of a little over 800,000 civil aviation pilots within the next two decades. Any aspiring pilots who live in the Charleston area are in luck as CSU is planning on initiating their first collegiate aeronautics program in the fall of 2021. The program will help students get important certificates and licenses while also earning a Bachelor of Science degree at the same time. Students will be flying in Diamond DA-20, DA-40 and DA-42 aircraft. They will also take classes on aircraft operations, safety, aerodynamics, meteorology, and more. ‘Outer Banks’ Resumes Filming August 31st

Did you know that there are TV shows being filmed in the Charleston area? HBO's The Righteous Gemstone's and Netflix's Outer Banks being the most popular. In the last 5 years, the film industry has brought in over 300 million dollars for South Carolina. It’s responsible for hiring thousands of people and indirectly stimulating the market for many local industries. Maybe you'll be hired as an extra! Outer Banks is currently filming throughout the low-country while taking safety measures like daily testing, social distancing, and filming outside.
